Here are some 3D pictures of our little boy! He looks great! and has mom's chubby cheeks already :) His feet measured 6cm...which if you grab a ruler, is really big! So I guess he has daddy's feet. He looks just like Dusty did in his hospital pictures. Love my handsome boys!!
Oh and we(I)'ve decided to name him Roan David Lemon!

Holy cow its hard to believe that i have been a mommy for a full year! Time sure does fly and it seems like over night my tiny baby is now growing up. On Saturday we had a party for her and lots of family came. We had fun on the giant rope swing and watching dalli destroy her cake...(on a side note, who decorates a kids 1st b-day cake with orange frosting?). She truely is our little princess!

This summer has been a good one with lots happening. Dusty is now working here and running his own welding truck! It is so awesome to have my man home each night and to see Dalli and Dusty bond. She is becoming quite the daddy's girl. Dalli and I went to Cali with my family for Tiff's wedding reception there. it was fun but again the heat this summer killed me and i was soo sick! I spent a week away at YW camp this summer and had a blast. The first part of august we went to my Welling reunion. THis is one tradition that I treasure, even if we all did end up sick :) Another bit of exciting news is that we are expecting baby #2! We are thrilled for a baby this March. I would be a bit more excited if i wasn't soooo sick! It has been awful, especially with the heat, booo. I have also been more mean with this pregnancy. Dusty told me that if i am this mean with all of them then we are done :) I just told him its because its probably a boy! hahaha...we still dont know the gender, yet.

she loved easter morning! laughed and laughed when she pulled everything out. We bought all easter for $40! Thats candy, baskets, toys and dress! i thought i did pretty good. So fun to have Tay there for the week, we sure miss her!

I can't believe Dalli is 6months old! It has flown by so fast. She is so funny and such a good baby. She sleeps through the night and is old crabby when she's hungry or tired. She has the biggest blue eyes and her daddy's cute lips/mouth. I think she's looking more like my side of the fam but still see a lot of dusty in her too. He's such a great daddy and pitches in with diapers, baths, feedings, and all the other fun stuff. He took her for a ride around the yard on a horse this weekend. she seemed to really like it. She loves puppies and Hank is her buddy. I own tummy time to that funny little dog who entertains my girl. Her little red curls are getting longer and crazier. I'm trying to teach her to say "mama" but all she does is squeal and laugh at me. I'd bet her 1st word is Hank" lol. she is close to crawling and we expect teeth very soon. Can't believe i have been so extremely blessed to be a mother and to have such a wonderful little family!

Two Months Already?!

So my baby girl just hit two months! just goes to show i can do it! She is so beautiful and such a character. She still has her curly hair but it has changed from blonde to red. She has the cutest smile and laughs in her sleep. just yesterday she rolled from her stomache to her back! she likes to stand when she burps and tries to sit up when supported by the boppy pillow...i love my little ambitious girl!

Here are a few of Dalli's favorite things:

Baths, her fist in her mouth, binki, mommy, clicking and tongue sounds, snuggling, tv, hank (our dog), dancing with daddy, visitors, being naked, laying on her back to kick and wiggle, her vibrating bouncer/swing

At 7:45am August 27,2010, our beautiful baby girl was born! We named her Dalli Ann Lemon. She weighed 7lbs 15oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. She is growing like a weed and i'm sure is over 8 or 9lbs now. She has a full head of gorgeous blonde curls! She sleeps great and has to be woken up to eat. The labor was about 14 hours with the last two pushing. We pulled an all nighter...thanks to everyone who suffered through with me :) It was great to have all my family there and dustin's too. it is so great to be a mommy! Who knew it could be so fullfilling to nurse, change diapers, and stare at your daughter all day! She is such a joy and already has her daddy wrapped around her little fingers! he is so great with her...very hands on and willing to help. I'm so blessed.

So Sunday I had some back cramps that radiated down my legs. My mom told me that it sounded like back labor...which is dreadful from what I hear :(. I went into my Dr. appointment yesterday and he checked me to see if I was dialating and guess what?....I am dialated to 2.5! He said to take it easy this week away from home and to watch for signs of increasing labor. Holy Smokes! I was not expecting this news...lol we thought we had 5 more weeks of prep, now it could happen anytime! I just hope she stays put this week so we can go have fun up at my Welling Family Reunion :) I am so excited to go, but wonder how far away our cabin will be from the nearest bathroom :{

So time seems to be flying by lately! my 2nd trimester flew by and i'm feeling great! I had a dr. appointment today and she looks beautiful. she weighs about 2lbs 7oz. thus far the only bad thing has been the swelling in my hands and feet but lots of water and rest helps. i can't believe that i have only 12 weeks left! too crazy.

my mom came this past weekend and we painted the baby's room and got it all arranged. it looks so cute with green and blue! I'll have to post pictures soon. It makes it feel real and so exciting that she's almost here! For those of you that haven't heard...we are going to name her Dalli Ann Lemon. She is quite the little mover. I felt her 1st hiccups today! I am so lucky and have Taylour here to help me for a while. She is probably bored out of her mind, but I love the company. It was great to see my dad and Wendy too when they came to visit and drop Tay off.

Dustin and I are great! Just getting things done around our little house. I have my garden in and most everything is up! I'm especially proud of my corn...it only the critters will stay away! Dusty is gearing up for his 1st rodeo this weekend in Morgan. I'm so proud of him and excited to begin again. I was getting just as restless as he was :). Well that is about all now.

We are having a baby! My due date is August 25th...the Dr. said we'd know more on the next visit. But we did get see the little heart beating on the ultrasound! I had bad morning sickness for a couple of weeks, then my Doctor told me about Unisom...The best thing ever made! It is a sleep aid, but for some strange reason it helps with the nausea. Only I'm a light weight, so I can only take half the dose...otherwise, I am useless.

Moving....again!

Yep that's right, we can't get enough of MOVING! I think this will be the FIFTH time in our 1 1/2 years of marriage! HOPEFULLY this will be the last time for awhile. I got the job at Eagle View Elementary...or Todd...and can't wait to get down there and settled. Dusty is still looking for a job down there so for now he will stay in WYOMING and drive down on the weekends. I'm going to miss my life here, but you can't beat a HOME of your own! Bring on the next ADVENTURE!

General Conference

I'm so excited for General Conference this weekend! I love to have two full days to listen to our prophet and other church leaders! It truly is a blessing to live so close to it all. I remember roomies and friends in college who had never even met or seen a general authority in person. I remember thinking just how blessed I was to have grown up where I did, where we were privileged to attend Conference and firsides with our great leaders.

I remember when I was really little, Presideny Monson came to a stake or reginal conference in my home town. As my dad and I were leaving we ran into President Monson. He shook my dad's hand and greeted him, then he patted me on the head and said, "You are the cutest little girl I've ever seen." Now I don't say this to brag, but to share a memory I have personally with our beloved prophet. I can't wait to hear his voice this weekend.

Canning Machine!

So last weekend my mom and I spent our Saturday...canning! Its about that time of year right? Except we weren't canning the usual fruit, veggies, etc. We canned bread! Yep you can can bread :) We also canned hamburger, taco meat, and stew meat. All ready to go into yummy dishes! And yes we tried them to make sure they were good...and they were awesome! The bread we made was Zuchinni bread--12 batches to be exact. One was chocolate with chips, another with pecans and chips, another was walnuts and raisins, and finally one just plain. I swear we had like 30 bottles of bread! It was an adventure, but they turned out great after the 1st 2 batches. And what is awesome...is bread/cake/brownies all last up to 10 years and are still moist and yummy! I just can't wait to try white and wheat breads :)

Do "we" still think he's wonderful?...Frankly I'm disgusted!

As a practicing physician I have major concerns with the healthcare bill before Congress. I actually have read the bill and am shocked by the brazenness of the government's proposed involvement in the patient physician relationship. The very idea that the government will dictate and ration patient care is dangerous and certainly not helpful in designing a healthcare system that works for all. Every physician I work with agrees that we need to fix our healthcare system, but the proposed bills currently making their way through congress will be a disaster if passed.

I ask you respectfully and as a patriotic American to look at the following troubling lines that I have read in the bill. You cannot possibly believe that these proposals are in the best interests of the country and our fellow citizens.

Page 22 of the HC Bill: Mandates that the Govt will audit books of all employers that self insure!!Page 30 Sec 123 of HC bill - THERE WILL BE A GOVT COMMITTEE that decides what treatments/benefits you get.
Page 29 lines 4-16 in the HC bill: YOUR HEALTH CARE IS RATIONED!!!
Page 42 of HC Bill:The Health Choices Commissioner will choose your HC Benefits for you. You have no choice!
Page 50 Section 152 in HC bill: HC will be provided to ALL non US citizens, illegal or otherwise
Page 58 HC Bill: Govt will have real-time access to individuals finances & a National ID Healthcard will be issued!
Page 59 HC Bill lines 21-24: Govt will have direct access to your banks accounts for elective funds transfer.
Page 65 Sec 164: is a payoff subsidized plan for retirees and their families in Unions & community organizations: (ACORN).
Page 84 Sec 203 HC bill: Govt mandates ALL benefit packages for private HC plans in the Exchange.
Page 85 Line 7 HC Bill: Specifications for of Benefit Levels for Plans = The Govt will ration your Healthcare!
Page 91 Lines 4-7 HC Bill: Govt mandates linguistic appropriate services. Example - Translation: illegal aliens.

Relay for LIFE

Well this weekend I participated in Relay for LIFE with my WELLING family. We had a BLAST and I didn't sleep a wink. Here are some pictures...
This is the SURVIVOR walk. Aunt Jill was in the front waving! What an amazing woman. She battle cancer and is now in remission! We love you Jill!

Next was the Luminaries....little bags with names of people who have had cancer.....

This last bag was for a close friend. She was my Young Women's Leader when I was in High School. But she was more than that...she was like a mother to me. She had six awesome sons! but she said I was always the daughter she never had. I saw her just days before the cancer took her life and am so glad that she let me be a part of her life. Not a day passes that I don't remember a lesson she taught or the example of her faith in all trials. I made the bag for her so that maybe one other person who knew her could remember this remarkable woman.

And to end the post we have our soooo sleepy kids....

So the FOURTH of July for us is CRAZY madness! We hit 3 rodeos in 24 HOURS. Friday night was EVANSTON! He made a GOOD effort but no score...he hurt his shoulder SOMEHOW...hmmm. Then we relaxed Saturday morning in PREP for the rest of the day. At 2:00 we were in WOODRUFF...and again no luck. Then we hit the ROAD...again for TOOELE. We got lost---SHOCKING knowing us! but we eventually found it. The arena was huge!!!!!!!!!! and PACKED! The grand enrty was neat; there were FLAGS from every branch of the armed forces, and their grand marshall was a SALUTE to a fellow that was on the committe but had recently died. I felt so PROUD standing there with my hand over my HEART and thanking Heavenly FATHER for the great blessings I have to enjoy this LAND, freedoms, and LIBERTIES. One sour spot was that during this all....this family was just SITTING there!!!!!!!!!! I was soooo MAD...but I guess that is another EXAMPLE of this great country that gives them the LIBERTY to do that. AFTER that rodeo, we headed back up to EVANSTON for some late night FIREWORKS! I missed the really GOOD stuff but it was great to see FAMILY and enjoy some TIME together. HERE are some recent PHOTOS and VIDEOS of Dusty's rodeos.

Funny STORY about the video on the BOTTOM...it scared the BEGEEBERZ out of me. I was SHAKING for a while after he RODE. Then that NIGHT when he was watching it again, and AGAIN, and AGAIN...I couldn't stop laughing! His FLIP is incredible! haha...he didn't appreciate the LAUGHTER but I think its HILARIOUS!

Thats right! We have officially began our rodeo summer. Despite what most wives think of their husbands rodeoing...I LOVE IT! Crazy I know, but I love hitting the road with my man and doing what he loves to do. It is our little get away from the pressures of life. So far this year he has done well! Keep your fingers crossed that the big money will start rolling our way :) Dusty rode the full 8 seconds, but missed his mark out in Evanston, WY on Saturday night. I was way proud of him! Getting ready behind the chutes Jason and Dusty showing off their buckles and Finally...Dusty's ride...hope it works!

This week my in-laws came down from Canada. I drove down to roosevelt on Tuesday and stayed all week. I loved every minute of it. It was so fun to spend time with my cute nieces, that I had only met once...on our wedding day. Regardless to say, we didn't get to know each other very well in all the confusion. So it was nice to chill, and hang out with family all week.

I wanted to wish my little sister a happy birthday! We went to her fun party tonight and had good food and visited with family and friends. It seems so crazy that she is already 12! She is sooo excited to go to YW's on Sunday! Can you blame her? Young Women's was the high light of my teen age years. It is so influential and critical to your spiritual growth and builds a strong foundation for the rest of your life. I'm very proud of her and the young lady she is becoming and know she will have a great time during this period of her life! Happy Birthday Sis!

Educational Frustrations

Does it ever seem that they purposefully make college difficult to figure out...so you can NEVER finish? I'm having mega frustrations trying to figure out schools that have the courses I need and then the application processes. And financial aid! Does anybody really know who to transfer you to? Does anybody know anything about it? You'd think those getting paid to help you get credits and graduate, might know how to do their job. Sorry just blowing off a little steam. Deep breath, deep breath...

Lovin' the Loft

So We are officially moved into our little "love loft." I HATE moving and luckily Dustin just informed me that he is too. He said not at lest for seven or nine months...which I am perfectly fine with cause I love my job at the school and am looking ofrward to seeing these stinkers again next year! Anyway, I just started decorating the loft and it feels much more like home...we just need a couch :) oh well we have the most important piece of furniture--the book case :) My books have been too neglected these past six months. I will post pictures when i get it all spick and span!

I Hate Moving

Yes, we have moved once more...back in with the parentals. Ok so not "in with" more like "next too." My mom and Kendall have been awesome to us and have build a loft for us in the barn/shop across the yard from the house. Our rent and propane was draining us and we weren't saving a thing, so move it is. So now we are in limbo waiting for the finishing touches to be put on the loft, so we can move in to it. I hate living out of suitcases and not knowing where things like lunch boxes, scriptures, and water bottles are! I'm an OCD unpacker. I hate having my stuff in boxes and not where I can get to it. Also it is hard moving back in with parents...way harder than coming home from college. Men are territorial and mental when they have to change their routines. Luckily Dusty has handled it better this time around. I just keep thinking...someday I'll own my own house...some days seem far far away...

So I get so frustrated when people don't update regularly and I know they have exciting lives lol. So I just have to laugh when I look at my own and realize that I need to update, so here goes...
First off we got a new car! Yeah for us. We both have clunckers from high school that are just a few miles away from going to the junk yard. Here is our sweet blue Ford Focus:

I L-O-V-E love it. I have always hated stick shifts so now I can drive like a breeze...

Next is my students finally talked me into a classroom pet! Ok so they only had to mention it once and I was game. Dustin wasn't so keen on the idea, but like a good wife I bought a hamster without him knowing :) And actually he wasn't too mad and likes it. Just the other night he asked me when he would be tame enough to hold...I know. For the full effect of this statement, you must understand that Dustin has some phobias and rodents are one of them. All I heard for days was "haunta virus, haunta virus..." Now at school I am constantly afraid of my students getting sick from it, darn husbands :) No but my students love it! They are a bit over the top about it and have a hard time focusing, but it's still fun. Here are some pictures from school of "Gus."

I just wanted to make a quick post and just say thank you to one of Utah's senators. Last night on the news, I heard some comments that Senator Buttars made, and I just wanted to say "thank you" to him, for voicing his opinion and for not backing down to radical activists. We could use more people like him in our governments...people who aren't afraid to stand up for their beliefs and not cower to the worldly views of society.

Valentines Day

Yeah for marriage! I'm so grateful that I have a permanent Valentine! I love being married. I can't imagine my life without Dustin. He makes me so happy and does everything he can to provide for and take care of me. I'm one lucky...no blessed girl. My heavenly Father was sure looking out for me when he blessed me with this great man. So we were excited about our first Valentines Day together as a married couple...and what made it truely awesome was that we didn't do gifts! (Well we really couldn't afford them , but still it was fun.) We spent all morning just being lazy, then I went to my mom's and helped her out while Dustin went to break some colts. Then we came home and made a yummy dinner together and watched Just Like Heaven. It was simple but still awesome. Again...yeah for marriage.

Well for the first six months of our marriage, we lived in Roosevelt. There were good and bad times there, but as we go back to visit now it is amazing that we only remember the good. I took some pictures a while ago when we lived there and I just found them the other day. I wanted to post them and relive/recap our lives in roosevelt.

Funerals

Wow, when it rains it pours it seems. A few weeks ago my great grandma Jensen passed away. truely it was a blessing because she had been sick for so long. Then a week later my Grandpa Jackson passed away. It still isn't known why, but he had lived a hard life so I guess that contributes. Here is a picture I had taken of us at my wedding...

Now my dad's family is being hit. First his Uncle and then his cousin Jennifer. February has not been fun.

One thing I can say though is that the thought and prayers and actions of those around us help us get through these hard times. These are some flowers i got from the school and my visiting teachers. Many thanks.

So lately I've had this constant question on my mind...WHAT IS UP HERE? It seems to refer to my life lately haha. First with going off BC a couple months a ago and the cruel tricks my body keeps playing, ya this question sums it up. Then the election. Then the failing economy that keeps those working in the oil field on their toes. Honestly, I'm just waiting for the day when Dustin comes home with "the bad news." And finally all this new news I heard yesterday: The Secretary of Treasury didn't pay his taxes and got off scott free? Hmmm...Ironic. I kinda wonder how if the leaders of this nation refuse to stand accountable for their actions, how can they expect the people to trust them and to obey the laws when the leaders don't...all I can say is "What is up here?" Then I was listening to the news last night and heard the new buzz about Gov. Huntsman (Utah's Governor)openly supporting civil union marriages between the gay and lesbien couples. But the politicians in Utah were not pleased with him and had some heated things to say about it...some kinda funny, some reality checks. Is anyone else blown away at the irony between these two stories? (Utah Gov.= gay marriage & Head of Treasury $$=not having to pay taxes $$. Any way it is just a crazy and wacky time right now for me :)

Today was twin day at school. Not as many participants, but still clever ones that did. So can you guess who I am?...Well obviously Hannah Montana! I had the best of both worlds today! Kidding, the wig was very itchy and unruly :) But I pulled it off somehow because students stopped left and right and whispered to their friends, "Look it's Hannah Montana!" Yeah I was pretty proud of myself :)

So as I have thought about my last post, I realized that some may think that I am expressing racial views. That is not the case at all. I truly am no respector of persons and don't like even racial jokes. I was just listening to the famous Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. speech "I have a dream..." and wanted to clarify my last post. In his speech he says that he hopes his children will grow up to live in a nation where they are not judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their characters (paraphrased). And so I just wanted to clarify that it is not the color of his skin, but the content of Obama's character that I find hard to believe in and trust as a leader of our great nation.

Ending of a Great Year

Well again a ton has happened since last month. I keep getting reminders to update, but I hate doing it with out pictures. Anyway we have been traveling and visiting everyone this season and just loving it all! We moved into the little house we mentioned before but are just renting it for now...not sure that we love it enough to want it permanently. Christmas was great! Or is it just great as your 1st year together as husband and wife? Mostly because we know what we got and we got what we wanted! matbe we went a bit over board but oh well.
Tiffany , my little sister, just got home from the hospital. She is a frequent visitor it seems. This time it was appendix and pnemonia (?). Lucky ducky:) Britt has been way sick too. What a sicky time to be sick.
Well we are excited for this new year and looking forward to all the adventures it could bring...vet school, babies, moves...who knows right? But bring it on!

Wow, Has it really been a month since I updated? Holy cow how the whole world has changed! First Dustin and I moved to Wyoming and in with my mom and step dad...and boy what a treat! Actually i don't mind it so much but Dustin is going crazy lol. But luckily we both started new jobs and are settling in. Dusty is welding and getting used to all the wind but I think he likes his job (He leaves at 5 am and I don't love mornings so 4:30 am lunch packing is getting very old very quickly). I got a job at Urie Elementary working with Title One kids in reading. It is awesome!! I have my own room and four different classes (1st, K, 2nd, 4th). The kids are adorable...and they liked me so much they offered me a position at Lyman Middle School working with kids there in a reading program called Wilson. So basically I'm thrilled because now I get insurance!! BooYA.
But the best news is that Dustina nd I are trying to buy this cute little house!! It has 3 bedrooms, one bathroom, a big living room and a cute kitchen. Also it has two acres on it and water rights so we can keep our little farm together :) The best part about it is that it is only 75,000!! We should know more at the beginnig of next week! So hopefully we are in our own house by December!

Movin' On Up!!

Yep you heard it right!! Dustin and I are moving back to Wyoming at the end of the month!! He has accepted a welding job up in Mountain View that he is super excited about, and I'm moving back closer to my family! (can you tell I'm just mildly excited?) We will be living with my Mom and Kendall for a few months to save up some money and pay off some bills. We are looking at some land out in Robertson to buy and build on, and hopefully start a ranch on! We already have 3 1/2 pairs of cows and 3 horses. Isn't it strange how prayers are answered and how when it's right things just start to fall into place! We will miss it here, especially our friends and family, but we just can't pass up this opportunity :) YEA WYO here we come!

Crazy Busy

Well it has been a busy few weeks. Work has been crazy-trying to set up tutoring programs. I'm heading the Mentor Tutoring where are 6th graders tutor our 4th graders. We start Monday...wish me luck! Also , I have been volunteering at the Dialysis Center on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I absolutely love it! I have one old man (Byron) that I spend most of my time visiting with. He reminds me of Grandpa Welling :) Sometimes it is funny, like my 1st time there. Everyone was sleeping and the only two people awake refused to talk to me. They just wanted to watch TV. Then finally I got Jonas, my Native American, friend to chat. He was pretty funny, but it is hard to relate sometimes with such a culture gap. Soon we'll have BINGO and Checkers going...if they wake up enough to play :).

This past week my in-laws and I have been canning peaches like crazy! But i love it. I always wondered how Grandma Welling got her peaches so smooth and the pits out so easy. I've always wanted to learn how to can, and I'm glad that Peggy has the patience to teach me :)

But mostly, Dustin and I are way excited for the BYU-Wyoming game on Saturday!!!!! I'm mostly excited to see my family. I miss them like crazy. Someday we will live closer :) I am thinking about wearing my BYU get up and sitting smack dab in the WY section!!!! We'll see how brave I am. Dustin says he'd sit somewhere else to avoid the embarrassment :)

Don't be too harsh on my lack of blog creativity because I am just starting out. But I thought this would be a great way to keep track of friends and family that we don't see too often.

Also, I had an ingenious idea today sitting in training...I would use the blog to promote AmeriCorps and to get the word out in my community (and to all of you) about what it is and how you can help! As an overview, it is a volunteer and service organization under the govenment to promote literacy in grades k-12...and we are in need of volunteers at all of the schools, especially parent volunteers who help in classrooms and with tutoring reading. It is a blast and very rewarding either as a parent or AmeriCorps member. I'll keep it posted as I learn more about it myself! Stay tuned....

Just Starting Out

Well it has been four great months of being husband and wife! We are living in Roosevelt, UT and are finally getting settled into our little house. For those who don't know...Dusty and I met last summer at the Bridger Valley Ranch Rodeo over Pioneer Days in Wyoming. It was the best summer fling ever that now is forever. Dustin is a pumper for the oil field and is still running the ranch for his mom. I have been working for an early intervention preschool (which I loved) but have just started a new job at Roosevelt Middle School with the Ameri Corps program. I am so excited to be working with kids grades 4-6 and helping them (and their parents) to become better readers! Dustin and I just got back from an exciting family reunion where my family finally got to see Dustin's true colors and see why I fell in love with him. Now school is starting and the harvest is coming so life is about to get more routine--YEAh!!!!
